Sacha Retreat Center

Sacha, a Kichwa word meaning ‘jungle’, is a private magical retreat property birthed through the medicine work of One Light Tribe, a community founded by Isa in 2013. The property was purchased in late 2017 and building began in 2018, and was completed in 2023. We open it to the greater community to host sacred space, trainings, medicine works, yoga, meditation retreats and spiritual events.
The property is in the village of San Marcos La Laguna, Barrio 3, a short walk on a foot path from the center, in the valley. It is fully private and secure, contained with a high wall all around. The property has Casa Blanca, our main house, Casa Tierra guest house both with full kitchen and bath. The retreat area has a block of 4 guest rooms, an additional guest room, full kitchen and cook, temezcal (wood sauna), 2 showers and 3 dry eco toilets. The Sacha Temple is an enclosed ceremony/workshop space.

Option to include Casa Tierra, our full guest house with queen bed, full bath and kitchen and Casa Blanca with king bed, full bath and kitchen, our house for extra flat fee per day. These houses are on the property but private from the space, perfect space for facilitators.

Facilities
Temple + Workshop Space
Our ceremony space was designed for our medicine ceremonies, but is versatile to be used for different events. 9m (29′) diameter with high palma ceilings, wood floors, mud walls and portal skylight. Space can comfortably fit 20 with mats at the wall. Side door leads to attached storage and small food prep/serving area. We provide long cushions, pillows, bolsters, yoga mats, yoga straps and some yoga blocks, along with UV double filtered drinking water. There are 2 compost toilets directly outside the space and a hand washing sink. There is also a ceremonial fire circle outside.
Dining/Meeting Area
Platform, covered with a palma roof, with low table for meeting and dining. Curtains close around for privacy, could also be used as a massage or treatment space.
Temezcal (Sauna)
Our sauna is made of adobe and stone, wood fired and can fit 6-7 people comfortably at a time on stone bench. It stays hot for a long time and people can take turns. Water can be poured on the rocks inside once hot, we will also provide some aromatic herbs. There is a cold shower out the door on the side. This is an extra flat fee per use, we can schedule the days you might like to have this included in your retreat and we will prepare it for you.
Kitchen
Full open plan kitchen, vegetarian cooking only.
6 Burner gas stove and oven, large refrigerator, vitamix, stainless cookware, storage space. Whole property has UV water filtration, plus additional Ecofiltros. We can provide a cook and meals for your retreat, to be catered for specific diets, to be included in the fees per person.
Hammock Chill Zone
There are several spaces on the property to relax, this one is a palma roof covered platform with 5 hammocks, just next to the dining platform.
Bathhouse
Shared bathhouse with two showers and two sinks, UV filtered hot water on all taps. Towels provided. One dry ecotoilet and 2 additioanl next to ceremony space.
Fees
Pricing to rent the property will depend on your retreat and needs for your group, number of participants and meals to be included, and the time of year. As a general rule for accommodation and full use of the property fees are $65-90 per person per day, with a minimum of 10, to depends on the meals per day you would like to include.
Extra fees for full property rental to include guest house and/or main house. Extra services can be arranged such as body work and energy healing sessions, mayan fire ceremony or astrology readings.
Daytime-only workshops are priced depending on the event, number of attendees and time of day/week.
